Haven’t flown the GE 787 just the RR -9. Definitely looks like slat auto gap. Makes me wonder about blocked sensors and incorrect TPR or whatever GE call it. Insects? How long had it been on the ground? And if flap was incorrectly set up…the -8 wing has only 5 positions iirc. Does the 8 do a flap 1 take off? Moving through two gates after take off would be much more difficult
I’m sure lots of 787 instructors are trying things in the sims today Subjects: None |

In
this video
of a 787 take-off, first the inner main landing gear bay doors open, and then the bogies tilt downwards. In the first video of the crash, the bogies appear to be tilted downwards but said doors remain closed?

The RR engines on my 350 are permanently monitored. I assume GE would have data already too?

Not flown the 78 for a few years. If you left the MCP at zero and the engines don’t go into hold on take off I assume the FPV in the hud commands a pinch down after rotate ? Does thrust reduce accordingly?

Or was it not ETOPs despatched and an engineer worked on both sides of the aircraft without verification from another cert?

I thought exactly that about the sim. Reposition flicking switches etc etc. Gawd.
